USER GUIDE

1) INSTALLATION

Written installation guides for both our decks and screens/doors/fences/gates are available upon request.

However some important points to be noted are as follows:

1.1) For Screens/Fences/Gates/Doors

- Always make sure the poles are firmly planted on the ground, and will not sink in.

- Always ensure there is a clearance between these products and the ground.

- Always use our special brackets for these products.

1.2) For Decks

- Always install the decks onto joists/rails placed with the correct spacing.

- Always support the joists/rails on a firm ground, or a wooden/steel frame structure that will not distort as WPC rails/joists are not load bearing structures.

- Always provide gaps for expansion taking into account the estimated temperature at the time of installation and the difference between the hottest and coldest time of the year where the decks are to be installed.

2) CLEANING

Although WPC is known to be maintenance free, however due to dirt and grim as well as chemical deposits from water/rainwater that can deposit and accumulate on the surface of these products, and scratch marks arising over time, it may be necessary to clean and rejuvenate the surface of the product from time to time. To do so a medium hard wire brush readily available from your local hardware store will do just fine. A bigger brush is preferred for better leverage.

For decks with a large surface, it would be advisable to use a portable mechanical roller wire brush(medium hardness) to do the job.

3) MOISTURE

Although WPC is much less affected by moisture than wood, however prolonged exposure to moisture, especially in an enclosed space, without any possibility for the product to dry will promote growth of mildew. lichen and the like on the material. Such growths can be brushed off as explained above, but continued exposure to moisture will not prevent these growths from recurring.
